PSG and Monaco created a rain of goals at Parc De Princes

Monaco has a trip to PSG’s field in the highlight match of round 13 of Ligue 1. If they win, Monaco will catch up with their opponents in terms of points.

The match took place excitingly right after the opening whistle. By the 18th minute, PSG broke the deadlock. From Dembele’s shot, the away team’s goalkeeper missed the ball, allowing Goncalo Ramos to score to open the score for the home team at Parc des Princes.

But just 4 minutes later, Monaco brought the match back to the starting line. Goalkeeper Donnarumma carelessly passed the ball straight to Minamino’s position. The Japanese striker took the opportunity to kick into PSG’s net, equalizing 1-1 for the away team. Before the first half ended, PSG was able to regain the lead thanks to Mbappe’s accurate penalty kick. Previously, Dembele was fouled by a Monaco defender in the penalty area.

Entering the second half, Monaco raised their attacking lineup. But unable to find an equalizer, the away team continuously conceded goals. In the 70th and 72nd minutes, Dembele and Vitinha scored respectively to help PSG lead 4-1.

In the 75th minute, Balogun broke the offside trap and then coolly defeated goalkeeper Donnarumma in a face-to-face position, shortening the score to 2-4 for Monaco. But right before the match ended, PSG’s rookie Muani scored, sealing a 5-2 victory for the home team.

The 3 points helped PSG consolidate their leading position in the Ligue 1 rankings with 30 points, 4 and 6 points more than the following teams, Nice and Monaco, respectively.
