A video shared by the Mirror on YouTube showcased Liverpool’s first-team training session ahead of their Europa League match against LASK Linz.
While other Premier League rivals participated in the Champions League, Liverpool prepared for their Europa League campaign under Jurgen Klopp’s guidance.
Following a somewhat challenging previous season that saw them miss out on Champions League qualification, Liverpool is entering the Europa League as one of the favorites. This competition provides Klopp with an opportunity to rotate his squad throughout the season, potentially resting some of the key players during midweek fixtures.
Among the players in the training session was 19-year-old Polish goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek, who currently wears the number 93. Although it’s unlikely that Mrozek will feature in the upcoming match, he aspires to earn a place on the bench.
In the training video, Mrozek stood out as one of the tallest players, even towering over some established stars like Harvey Elliott and Andy Robertson.
Mrozek currently shares goalkeeping responsibilities at the Under-21 level with Marcelo Pitaluga, a young Brazilian goalkeeper who has also been training with the senior squad.
Mrozek may consider a loan move to gain valuable senior football experience, especially since Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to start the match, and he is already a senior international for Ireland. A loan stint, similar to what Pitaluga experienced with non-league side Macclesfield, could aid Mrozek’s development.
