As Lionel Messi’s offseason gets underway after Inter Miami’s elimination from MLS playoff contention, he, his gorgeous wife Antonela, and their three sons had some quality family time by posing with Ed Sheeran at the British music star’s concert.
After filming his children, Mateo, 8, Thiago, 7, and Ciro, 5, singing along to Ed Sheeran’s song “Bad Habits” at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday, the 36-year-old Messi posted the video to Instagram.
In the video, Messi—clad in a simple white t-shirt—is seen grinning and listening to his kids sing before nodding in time to the beat of the song.
His post received almost three million likes in just one hour after it was uploaded online without a caption.
Merely “Messi x Ed Sheeran,” said Adidas.
As part of “The Mathematics Tour,” Sheeran has been in the United States since June. The tour is scheduled to conclude in Europe in August of next year.
His next show is set for October 28 at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
Messi, who helped Argentina win the 2022 World Cup, has 11 goals this season in 14 games for Miami.
Since Messi joined the squad in mid-July, the Herons have had four victories, four losses, and four draws in the league. They were winless in their last six league games (three loses, three draws).
The Argentine participated in Miami’s final regular season match of the Major League Soccer (MLS) on Saturday, losing 1-0. Earlier this month, his nation defeated Peru 2-0 in World Cup qualification.
Now, when the squad plays two exhibition matches in China on November 5 and 8, Messi is anticipated to don Miami’s pink jersey once more. Inter Miami will be embarking on its inaugural tour.
Following Argentina’s November 16 and 21 World Cup qualifiers, Messi should take a longer vacation before Inter Miami starts getting ready for 2024.
While he waits for the 2023–24 Major League Soccer season to begin, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has also refuted rumors that he may return to Barcelona on loan.
With the Leagues Cup, the club’s first-ever trophy, in the summer, Inter Miami’s head coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino admitted his team was fatigued by a demanding schedule toward the end of the season.
“Three tournaments were held, and only one was won,” Martino stated via a translator. The group was worn out. That is not a justification. Well, that’s the truth.
