After Jose Mourinho was fired, Chelsea legend Didier Drogba took to social media to remark

“Forever the Maestro” was the comment that hundreds of Roma fans, including Chelsea great Didier Drogba, left on José Mourinho’s Instagram post when he was fired.

Daniele De Rossi, a legend at Roma, replaced Mourinho after the club fired him on Tuesday morning.

Reports indicate that club owner Dan Friedkin surprised everyone on Tuesday morning when he informed the players and staff at Trigoria of his decision.

The majority of Roma fans supported the Special One and were by the decision to fire him, even if the club struggled in Serie A this season, finishing ninth.

In his goodbye Instagram post to Roma and their followers, Mourinho received hundreds of replies, proving the love from Roma fans.

Nearly one million people liked it, and of the more than 55,000 comments, nearly all were complimentary of the Special One.

“Grande @josemourinho forever the Maestro,” wrote Chelsea great Drogba.

While playing for the Portuguese manager at Stamford Bridge, the Ivorian icon scored 73 goals in 186 games.
