In an attempt to evade yet another ban, PEP GUARDIOLA says he is on a quest to enhance his touchline behavior.
The Manchester City manager received three yellow cards this season, so he was forced to witness Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Wolves from the stands.
To discourage mistreatment of the referees, the Premier League has lowered the bar for a ban from four cautions.
Guardiola will therefore be barred from the touchline for two games if he receives three more yellow cards.
It is a new norm, he declared. They clarified for us that we don’t always speak to them properly. The bosses are them. We must acknowledge that. I must change to fit them.

I would say so if I saw a few things that I didn’t like. I have to take charge of it now.
It’s not a major problem. It’s not an issue.
Rules were made by them. Even though I was one of Barcelona’s least physically demanding players, I may have had a lot of bookings throughout my time as a player there.
It was as a result of my constant talking. It’s the same now that I’m a manager.”
Guardiola acknowledged that he did not enjoy sitting in the stands next to City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain and head of player support Manel Estiarte after his team’s lackluster performance against Wolves.
“I like to be with the players and have the smell of grass,” Guardiola declared. Though Txiki and Manel were really kind, I would much rather be down there.
“There’s a two-game ban the next time. It’s a new record because I was the first to be banned.”
Regarding City’s first League defeat of the season at Wolves, he stated: “We need to put in more effort. They defeated us in a one-on-one match, which is unacceptable, therefore we must act appropriately.”
