After Two Years, Otto Porter Jr. Finally Gets the Championship Ring from the Warriors

In a Sunday night showdown with the Golden State Warriors, the Toronto Raptors traveled to the Chase Center.

This past weekend, Otto Porter Jr., a forward with the Raptors, made his return to the Bay Area following his 2022 championship with the Warriors.

To celebrate the 30-year-old’s arrival, the Warriors finally gave him the title ring he had been waiting for in a touching ceremony at center court before Sunday’s game. Nearly two years after the team’s championship run began in 2022 with their victory over the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, Stephen Curry met Porter in the arena’s center and displayed the championship ring.

Despite the long wait, Porter remained cheerful and engaged throughout the lecture, seemingly unfazed. After departing the Warriors following the 2022 season, Porter has spent the subsequent two years in Toronto.

Last season, he appeared in just eight games for the Raptors, and he was out with an ιnjury when they traveled to San Francisco. The Warriors opted to keep the ring until Porter came back to the Chase Center instead of mailing it, even though it would have delayed the process a bit. During the Warriors’ 22 championship run, Porter played an average of 19.5 minutes per game while averaging 5.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest.

Steph Curry Reacts to Drаmа in Warriors Locker Room

As things continue to deteriorate for the Golden State Warriors, Steph Curry has made a statement.

Shams Charania stated not long ago that Jonathan Kuminga had grown dissatisfied with his playing time and had lost trust in head coach Steve Kerr, adding insult to ιnjury for the 17-19 Warriors.

Curry explained the scenario as follows:

Curry reassured him that he was justified in his anger and want to play. I really ought to have played. Not likely. The hardest thing about this league, though, is not letting other people tell your story and not being able to fix it by talking to your coach or using your own voice.

“Everyone faces difficulties in life. Life is a series of lessons that we must all endure. He is absolutely justified in feeling angry and disappointed, as I mentioned before. I overheard the coach mention it. For fifteen years, he was consistently displeased with his playing time, which he admitted was semi-joking yet serious. No matter the locker room, that will be a topic of conversation.

By “I played for 15 years and all 15 I was frustrated with my playing time, this is how it works,” Kerr addressed the Kuminga drаmа during his latest postgame press conference, to which Curry referred.

Before his poor performance on Sunday, in which he scored nine points on 2-for-12 shooting and 0-for-9 from beyond the arc, Curry made these remarks.

The Warriors have dropped five of their past seven games after winning five in a row in the middle of December.
