“We have to aim very high,” emphasized Alexis Mac Allister as he outlined Liverpool’s mentality for the season ahead.
Liverpool has started the 2023-24 campaign positively, securing four wins and accumulating 13 points from their first five Premier League matches. Their most recent victory came against Wolverhampton Wanderers, as they rebounded from an early goal to win 3-1 at Molineux.
Liverpool is also set to begin their Europa League campaign later this week, and summer signing Mac Allister is eager for his new club to compete strongly on all fronts.
The Argentina international expressed his ambitions during an interview with TNT Sports before the weekend: “Like every big team, you want to aim very high. We have an important competition like the Europa League and, of course, the Premier League. We aim to return this club to the Champions League.
So, we have to aim very high, and that’s what we are trying to do. We take it step by step, win every game, and then we will see about the future. But, of course, at this big club, we will fight for everything.”
Mac Allister emphasized the importance of the Premier League, a year-long competition where the best team ultimately claims the trophy. He noted that Liverpool is still improving and expressed satisfaction with their performances thus far, stating, “That’s 100 percent our aim.”
