The Scotland skipper injured his shoulder last week while playing for his country in an international match against Spain.Left defender Andrew Robertson will be out of action until at least January, according to Jurgen Klopp, after surgery was confirmed as necessary to fix the issue.

Van Dijk, who replaced Jordan Henderson as captain of the club this summer, says he has spoken to his teammate about the setback and that the entire squad is available to aid the popular Robertson during his recuperation.

Bad injuries are never fun; we know from Mo’s experience how challenging it can be to recover from a dislocated shoulder, but we’re here to help him through it. He has a few rough weeks ahead of him.
