An unbelievable match and hat-trick helped Chelsea sink 9 men from Spurs

Playing 2 more than Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea witnessed a hat-trick that helped them end their neighbor’s unbeaten streak.

In the 6th minute, Dejan Kulusevski cut the ball into the middle and hit a Chelsea player, causing the ball to miss Robert Sanchez. The score is 1-0 in favor of Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea rose up to respond strongly. In the 21st minute, Raheem Sterling put the ball into the home team’s net, but VAR recalled the goal because the ball touched the English star’s hand. 7 minutes later, VAR continued to deny the Blues a goal when Moises Caicedo scored.

Also in the 28th minute, a big change happened. The referee consulted VAR to review the situation where Cristian Romero hit Enzo Fernandez’s leg in the penalty area. Romero eventually received a red card and Chelsea received a penalty.

Cole Palmer scored a powerful penalty to equalize for Chelsea.

Entering the second half, Tottenham only had 9 people left because of this moment of Destiny Udogie’s tackle on Sterling.

Number 38 received a second yellow card, thereby being disqualified.

Chelsea took advantage of its numerical advantage to make Tottenham receive a series of bitter consequences afterward. Sterling successfully broke the offside trap and escaped with a cross as if to help Nicolas Jackson increase the score to 2-1 in the 75th minute.

Minute 90+4, it was Conor Gallagher’s turn to break the offside trap, escape down the right wing and assist Jackson to complete the double.

Spurs’ high defense saw No. 15 score a hat-trick after the 2001-born striker beat goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Coming from behind to win 4-1 in a two-man advantage, Chelsea officially ended Tottenham’s unbeaten streak in the Premier League. Spurs now lost the top spot to Manchester City.
