In anticipation of Mauricio Pochettino’s return to Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou has been effusive in his admiration of the Spurs manager.
The Argentine is scheduled to make his first appearance at the club since his dismissal in 2018.
During his four and a half years at Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino led them to the Premier League’s runner-up spot and the Champions League final.
Many fans wanted the Argentine to return to the club last summer after Antonio Conte was fired because they missed him so much. Some Spurs fans are still upset that former coach Mauricio Pochettino joined Spurs’ biggest rivals at Chelsea.
Pochettino will be honored for his outstanding contributions to the club, according to Postecoglou.
Postecoglou remarked, “It’s undeniable that he had an unbelievable impact on this football club.”
That is the end game for all of us. His influence on the team is evident. We can take his work at face value. The locals I’ve talked to who have worked with him had nothing but glowing praise for him.
There won’t be any disrespect for Mauricio from anyone associated with this club or its supporters, I don’t think. We’re playing for the win, so there won’t be any special treatment for him, like a guard of honor or anything.
Thiago Silva admits Mauricio Pochettino has helped him ‘a lot’ with one important thing
When Thiago Silva plays football, he never looks his age.
Despite being almost 40 years old, he plays in nearly every Chelsea game and doesn’t seem out of place in the Premier League, where many of his teammates are at least 20 years younger than him. Wow, that’s incredible in its own right.Silva maintains an exemplary level of fitness and is a role model for his career, but as he gets older, staying in shape will undoubtedly become more challenging. Silva, however, is flourishing.
Since Mauricio Pochettino joined the team at the beginning of the season, he has credited the Argentine with helping him get in shape and stay that way.
In statements published by The Guardian today, Silva said: “Pochettino has helped me a lot with my conditioning. I wasn’t exactly complacent, but I was doing what I knew how to do. Everything seems good and I don’t feel any different, but he got me out of there.
To put it bluntly, he doesn’t appear like he belongs with a group of much younger players in the Premier League. To each his own, Thiago!
