Spanish footballer Robert Lynch Sánchez, the husband of Robert Sánchez, was born on November 18th, 1997.
Sánchez was born in the Spanish city of Cartagena, in the Murcia region. His mother was Spanish and his father was English from Jamaica.
He started his professional career in his home country with Escuela de Ftbol de Santa Ana before moving on to Cartagena FC and Ciudad Jardn before joining with Levante in 2010.

On November 1, 2020, Sánchez debuted for Brighton in a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur, a match which Brighton ultimately lost 2-1. On February 23, 2021, Sánchez renewed his contract with Brighton for 4.5 years, taking him through June 2025.
Sánchez was sent off for fouling Callum Wilson, who had a scoring chance, in Brighton’s 11th game of the 2021-22 season, a 1-1 home draw on November 6 against Newcastle United.
On May 7, 2022, he helped Brighton to a 1-0 shutout victory over Manchester United, their first ever in the Premier League. His long pass was a key factor in Pascal Groß’s winning goal.
As veteran backup goalkeeper Jason Steele took over Sánchez’s starting position in the second half of the 2022-23 campaign, Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi expressed his sympathy for Sánchez and said that he and the player have “one of the best relationships.”

In the FA Cup quarterfinal on March 19, he started in place of Steele and helped his club to a 5-0 victory over Grimsby of League Two at Falmer Stadium.

In March of 2021, Sánchez received his first call to the Spanish national team for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Greece, Georgia, and Kosovo.
He will represent Spain in May 2021 at the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament, which was postponed due to bad weather. When Spain was ousted by Italy on penalties in the semi-final on July 6 at Wembley Stadium, Sánchez and David de Gea remained Unai Simón’s backups and did not play.
On September 5, 2021, he made his national team debut after replacing Simón in the second half of a World Cup qualifier against Georgia. The match ended with a 4-0 victory for Badajoz.
Sánchez qualified with the Spanish national team in October for the 2021 UEFA Nations League Finals. He remained a reserve player as Spain finished in second place, missing both the semifinal victory over Italy and the final loss to France.
On 11 November 2022, Sánchez was added to Spain’s final World Cup roster of 26 players.
