As radio personality Paige Spiranac asserts that Milwaukee Brewers fans ‘owe her a great debt,’ she is credited for preserving the team’s season

After Paige threw out the first pitch back at a game in June, radio host Grant Bilse said on the Wisco Sports Show that the team went on a run that changed the course of the season.

On June 16, the 30-year-old former professional golfer received an invitation to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Brewers promotion night, during which fans would receive Paige bobbleheads.

When Paige showed up at the stadium, the team’s record stood at 34–34.

June 23, one week later, saw Bilse publish a podcast referring to that June 23rd show as “the promotion that saved a season.”

“[Brewers business executive] Rick Schlesinger and those who work with him were starting to realize that Paige Spiranac’s June visit to American Family Field would be a game-changer for the team,” said Bilse.

From then on, the Brewers went on a scorching 58-36 run to close out the season.

Bilse has a notion about why the Brewers defeated the Chicago Cubs by a commanding nine games to win the NL Central.

“The Brewers’ supporters owe Paige Spiranac a huge debt.”Her bobblehead night became a bright spot on the horizon for supporters to look forward to throughout the darkest months of the season, which were April and May.

But by the time that day came, Milwaukee fans were sincerely looking forward to seeing Paige join the team.

“2023’s Golf Night nearly turned into a second opening day… a fresh start for a season that had improved,” Bilse stated to The New York Post.

In the NL Wild Card round, the Brewers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.
