Atlanta Braves’ postseason outlook: Awaiting the Miami-Philly winner

With their sixth consecutive National League East championship secured, the Atlanta Braves have achieved their initial goal and are now eagerly anticipating a promising postseason run.

However, Braves fans will have to exercise patience as they await the start of the playoffs. Thanks to their performance, the team has earned a bye through the NL Wild Card round and will kick off their postseason journey in the NL Division Series, commencing this Saturday.

Crucially, the Braves have clinched home-field advantage throughout the postseason, setting the stage for what could be an exciting playoff run. Their opponent in the NLDS will be either the Philadelphia Phillies or the Miami Marlins.

Braves pitcher Spencer Strider expressed his admiration for the team, stating, “I feel like I’m playing on the best team in baseball ever. The way these guys go out every day, they’re a model to everybody.”

It’s a significant shift in fortunes for the Braves, who, just two years ago, won the World Series as underdogs. Now, they enter this year’s playoffs as the favorites to clinch the Fall Classic. Remarkably, they were the first team to secure a spot in this year’s postseason.

Ronald Acuña Jr., speaking through an interpreter, shared the team’s perspective: “Obviously, we’re very grateful to have the opportunity to continue playing in the postseason. We want to win some games and hopefully win the World Series.”

As Atlanta fans eagerly anticipate the postseason action, all eyes will be on the Braves as they seek to add to their storied baseball legacy.
