Becks and other former MU stars attended the funeral of Sir Alex Ferguson’s wife

Former midfielder David Beckham and many former teammates and famous names of MU came to Glasgow to attend the funeral of Lady Cathy Ferguson – wife of legendary coach Alex Ferguson – on October 16.

Becks and some former teammates at MU, including Gary Neville (second from right) and Nicky Butt, went to St Andrew’s Church in the center of Glasgow, Scotland, to attend the funeral of his former teacher’s wife. Some other names of MU such as Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick and Park Ji Sung (standing on the left of Becks) also appeared.

The legendary coach of MU talked to the priest before the ceremony. Mrs. Cathy played an important role in her husband’s illustrious military career. Not liking football, Sir Alex’s wife takes care of the home and educates the children well so that her husband can focus on his career. ‘My mother supported my father when he was a player. As has been said a million times before, Dad could not have achieved success without Mom.

I once heard my father say that what my mother did was a sacrifice, but for her it was not like that. Taking care of family is what she wanted to do and what she did best,’ Jason Ferguson wrote in his eulogy.

Sir Alex and Mrs. Cathy met in 1964 and married in 1966. The couple has three sons and 12 grandchildren. Eldest son Mark, born in 1968, works in banking, and twins Darren and Jason (born in 1972) both work related to football. In his biography a few years ago, the military leader born in 1941 wrote about his wife: “I was fortunate to meet a wonderful girl who has been my fulcrum for the past 50 years.”
