Young Scotland Talent Ben Doak Commits to Liverpool with New Long-Term Contract
Liverpool has secured the services of 17-year-old Scottish talent Ben Doak for the long term. Doak, who joined Liverpool from Celtic in the summer of 2022, has extended his stay with the Reds.
Since joining Liverpool, Doak has made six senior appearances for the club. He made his debut as a substitute in a Carabao Cup match against Derby County at Anfield in November of the same year. He then made his Premier League debut for Liverpool on Boxing Day, coming off the bench in a 3-1 victory against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Doak played a significant role in Liverpool’s pre-season preparations this summer, impressing with his performances during trips to Germany and Singapore. He scored his first senior goal for the club with a clinical header in a 4-0 win over Leicester City and featured in all five of Liverpool’s summer fixtures.
In addition, Doak came off the bench in Liverpool’s opening Premier League match of the 2023-24 season, an away game against Chelsea. His progress and contributions have earned him a new long-term contract with the club, highlighting Liverpool’s faith in his potential.
