Breaking News: Erling Haaland Makes Triumphant Return to Manchester City Training after Foot Injury

Erling Haaland has provided Manchester City with a noteworthy injury update. Earlier this week, the Norwegian striker announced his withdrawal from FIFA Club World Cup duty.

The 23-year-old striker was left off of Manchester City’s 23-man roster in advance of their Tuesday night Club World Cup semi-final matchup against Urawa Red Diamonds, along with Jeremy Doku and Kevin De Bruyne.

Since Manchester City’s roster must stay the same for both the league’s semifinal and final, they will have to face Brazilian powerhouse Fluminense without Haaland, regardless of his health, according to competition regulations.

The news concerning Erling Haaland, however, will give City hope. On Wednesday, the official club media channels disclosed that the forward for Norway had resumed on-field training and had been pictured in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a ball at his feet.

According to Manchester City’s French account, Erling Haaland resumed training on Wednesday. Pep Guardiola had previously disclosed, following the team’s 0-3 victory over Urawa Reds, that the striker’s foot issue had prevented him from practicing with the first squad.

Erling Haaland was sidelined for the remainder of the Manchester City matches after Guardiola informed certain media outlets earlier this month that he “could not walk properly” due to a stress in his foot.

On December 10, Guardiola remarked, “The day after (Aston) Villa, he could almost not walk properly.” He was saying, “I feel much better, I can walk, and I have no pain,” when I spoke with him yesterday. We must therefore monitor him day by day.

Erling Haaland is expected to be available for Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League match, which is an away trip against Everton after Boxing Day, as he resumes training this week, according to Pep Guardiola and his coaching team.
