Chelsea star Reece James steps up his recovery

Reece James, a defender for Chelsea, has resumed individual training on the field as part of his accelerated rehabilitation from a hamstring injury, as per the club’s official website.

This season, the 23-year-old has been a significant loss for the Blues at right-back. He sustained his injury in the opening match against Liverpool and has missed the last seven and a half weeks of action.

Chelsea has now confirmed that he is back on the turf, which is encouraging news towards his recuperation. After the October international break, the Englishman might return to first team action if there are no setbacks.

This weekend, the London giants travel to Burnley, where James is also suspended. The captain of the Blues faces a one-game ban after being cited for inappropriate behavior following the team’s loss to Aston Villa.

In order for Chelsea to enter the break with momentum, manager Mauricio Pochettino will be aiming for the team to win the league twice in a row. The Blues will face a formidable task after the internationals.

The team will play Manchester City, Brentford, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal. Before they play Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Brighton & Hove Albion, there will be another international break.

With the most difficult schedule for Chelsea in the upcoming year, Pochettino will undoubtedly want James back in the starting lineup as soon as possible. The team has missed the Englishman’s presence on the field despite his being a complete right-back.

Although Malo Gusto, who is presently suspended, has performed admirably as a backup, he lacks James’s crossing skill. Additionally, he has been caught out of position, which is uncommon when it comes to the club captain.

Although James’ availability is unknown, Pochettino could choose to start the £56 million star against Arsenal. On October 21, Chelsea will meet their fiercest rivals in London at Stamford Bridge.
