In a season filled with ambition and high expectations, Chelsea’s struggle to find the back of the net has started to raise concerns among fans and club insiders. Despite dominating in the Ivan Toney race and currently leading Arsenal in the pursuit, it’s evident that the Blues’ quest for a reliable striker remains paramount.

 

Recent performances have exposed a goal-scoring issue at Chelsea. While the likes of Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, and summer signing Jackson have all contributed goals, the team’s overall Premier League tally of 13 goals leaves much to be desired. In four out of their ten Premier League matches, Chelsea failed to find the back of the net.

A club insider has affirmed that, while the focus has been on bolstering their defense, the desire for greater goal threat hasn’t diminished.

 

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has voiced concerns about the team’s goal-scoring abilities since the preseason. Sources close to the club suggest that Pochettino believed a premium No. 9 striker would still be required even after the acquisition of Jackson.
