After being granted a free-kick on the edge of the host’s penalty area, Man City had one more chance to win the game.

When Palmer arrived, Haaland, Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker, and Jack Grealish were debating their plan for the set-piece.

The former City player, 20, attempted to walk into their meeting, but Haaland was not thrilled.

The Norwegian moved quickly to push Palmer away and keep his side’s idea to himself.

Palmer had already been penalized for scuffing up the penalty spot after Marc Cucurella fouled Haaland in the box.

Chelsea fans reacted positively to Palmer’s audacity on social media.

“Palmer is trying to listen in on the city players for that late free kick,” one observer observed. The best housekeeping.”

A second person wrote: “Palmer wanted to eavesdrop on City’s strategy so that City’s free kick didn’t score against Chelsea, but Haaland caught it hahaha.”

“Need the cole-shrug.gif right now,” said a fourth.

Someone else said, “In the whole game I enjoyed Palmer and Haaland’s chemistry.”

The game was one of the best so far in the Premier League season.

Manchester City took the lead via Haaland until Chelsea equalized through Thiago Silva.

Raheem Sterling then put the hosts ahead before City’s Manuel Akanji equalized.

The Blues’ Nicolas Jackson responded by scoring his second goal of the game.

Before Palmer’s 95th-minute penalty, Rodri appeared to have won the game for the visitors.

Despite the late equalizer, Mauricio Pochettino was left angry as the full-time whistle blew before a Chelsea attack could be completed.

He did apologize for his actions to the press following the incident.
