Christopher Nkunku’s return to Chelsea after a two-year ιnjury layoff has Raheem Sterling ‘excited’

Christopher Nkunku, a French forward who had yet another ιnjury setback, returned to duty for Chelsea, and Raheem Sterling spoke highly of his colleague.

After joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig in the summer, Nkunku has only played in five games so far this season owing to a series of injuries, including a knee problem and a hip problem, which kept him out of action for the most part. The last time he played for the club was in a 4-1 loss to Liverpool, but he made his return in the encounter and scored the only goal.

Since Raheem Sterling, an English winger, has finally recovered to full fitness, he was thrilled to see the French star return. Sterling thought the two might create a solid partnership up front.

The Englishman predicted “it will be massive” while speaking with Sky Sports. His playstyle in preseason really piqued my interest. I had a feeling we’d get along famously. Yet again, his ιnjury was unlucky. His return will be a tremendous boon to our team, and he’s also an experienced player. We are eagerly anticipating his return.

With seven goals and eight assists in 27 matches in all competitions this season, Sterling has been in fine form. After Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer, he is the club’s all-time leading scorer.
