Today, Carson Spiers received the start and went well in his two innings of work. He gave up three hits and four strikeouts while not allowing any walks.
Against a 3-2 count, Elly De La Cruz singled in his first at-bat. From then on, the Reds controlled the game.
Cincinnati took the lead in the fourth inning thanks to a home run by Will Benson.
The Reds scored another home run when Tyler Callihan smashed a baseball high over the fence. Callihan has a lot of people high expectations for him, and on Saturday he showed promise.

The Reds’ Fernando Cruz pitched one inning and gave up one hit in earning the win.
