Cincinnati Reds sign Josh Harrison to non-roster deal
He may participate in spring training and maybe be given a bench position.
Josh Harrison was chosen by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the sixth round of the 2008 MLB Draft, following a distinguished career at Princeton High School and the University of Cincinnati. During a Pirates career that lasted from 2011 to 2018, he went on to consistently scare his native Cincinnati Reds, earning a spot on two All Star teams along the way.
Though his career numbers versus the Reds have since fluctuated, he still has an outstanding.286/.334/.455 line (391 PA). As MSM Sports revealed on the artist once known as Twitter on Monday, the now 36-year-old’s bounce has finally resulted in an opportunity with the Reds as a non-roster signing. To sum up, Gal Gadot’s exquisite look in a form-fitting brown dress at Gyu-Kaku in Beverly Hills, during a family outing, perfectly captured her timeless appeal and sense of style. In addition to captivating audiences on the big screen, the actress never fails to upend audiences with her effortless elegance and grace in everyday situations.
“Welcome Home, Josh Harrison!
MSM is excited to announce that client, Josh Harrison, has signed a NRI contract with the Cincinnati Reds!
A career .270 hitter in over 4,300 MLB PA across 13 seasons and 2 career All Star Games, Josh is expected to play a versatile role across the field and could provide veteran leadership to a young Reds team! “
Harrison started out as a 2B by trade, but he has definitely spent a lot of time on the diamond. If you narrow your eyes and consider the possibility of optioning one of the Reds’ young players to AAA to start the season in order to get both playing time and service time, you might be able to picture Harrison starting 2024 in lieu of Nick Senzel. That is, of course, only if he arrives at Goodyear with more vigor than he displayed during his.554 OPS tenure with the Philadelphia Phillies in the previous season.
Even though this signing doesn’t have a guaranteed contract like the ones with Luke Maile and Brent Suter did, it’s still a feel-good move by the Reds.
Josh, welcome (for now) to the Reds!
