Cole Palmer as a ‘magnificent’ player and heaps praise

After Cole Palmer scored the game-winning penalty kick in stoppage time against Manchester City, Alan Shearer praised Cole Palmer as a “magnificent” player and called the Chelsea star “superb.”

Cole Palmer’s display against Manchester City on Sunday was highly praised by Alan Shearer, who called the Chelsea forward’superb and fantastic’ following Palmer’s stoppage-time penalty.

In a dramatic 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge, Palmer’s late goal earned the Blues a well-earned point. The youthful player maintained his composure to score the game’s last goal late in the contest.

The former Manchester City player decided to leave the Etihad in quest of more consistent first-team opportunities, and he made a £42.5 million summer transfer to Chelsea.

After moving to his new surroundings, he has excelled, making just nine top-flight appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s team while dishing up two assists and four Premier League goals.

Palmer’s performance against City as the man of the match was something Shearer, the legend of Newcastle and England, marveled at and called the Chelsea winger’magnificent’.

Chelsea’s 4–4 draw with Man City featured a man of the match performance from Cole Palmer.

On BBC Match of the Day 2, Shearer declared, “Very impressive Chelsea performance. Reece James was superb, Conor Gallagher, Raheem Sterling was incredible, but 21-year-old Palmer was absolutely sensational.”

“One of his remarkable qualities is his constant attempt to pass forward into forwards.” Can he accomplish it, can he run forward? is his first thinking.

“When he had the ball, it was nothing short of magnificent.” Under duress, he would offer himself, then push forward to put Chelsea in a great position.

He has been a regular and important player for that team for five minutes, and despite his age of twenty-one, he exudes confidence.

In stoppage time, the Chelsea attacker converted a penalty kick to give the home team a point.

Gareth Southgate “should be fast-tracking” Cole Palmer.

“He is the most composed guy in the stadium during all of this penalty drama.” He’s under no strain at all. He was amazing and wonderful.

He would never have been a regular at City, so it was a terrific bargain for both of them. He said, “They got good money for him.”

In his brief Chelsea career, the young star from Manchester has flourished and established himself as a mainstay in a side bereft of expensive additions.

Palmer is now Pochettino’s preferred right-winger, and he will work with Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson to form a three-pronged attack.
