With an injury, Cole Palmer was replaced during England U21’s 9-1 triumph over Serbia on Thursday, adding to Mauricio Pochettino’s problems.

In the 52nd minute, the 21-year-old appeared to indicate to the touchline that he was uncomfortable and then exited the field.

The European champions led by Lee Carsley’s team won handily, but the injury caused a great deal of worry among Blues supporters on the internezt.

Palmer played nine games for the team in all competitions after joining Stamford Bridge on a deadline day this summer for a fee of £42.5 million.

Chelsea fans expressed concern over his fitness on social media, with some saying the team is “cursed.”

Although the injury‘s severity is unknown, Chelsea has had a terrible start to the season due to injuries. This is just one more setback for the team.

Some fans vented their annoyance on X, which was formerly Twitter. One wrote: “Comes to Chelsea gets injured we are cursed.”

‘Chelsea we are cursed,’ one commenter said, adding, ‘and now they have a barely credible 13 or 14 players out injured again. It’s time to remove these players and show a little more selfishness.

“Is it possible for our players to play through an injury?” Someone else enquired.

     

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent their frustrations over Palmer’s potential injury 

The former Manchester City player, who recently scored his first goal for Chelsea against Burnley, is off to a fantastic start in south-west London.

Palmer appears to have sustained a hamstring injury in Chelsea’s most recent match against Burnley, the match in which he netted the team’s first goal.

The former Man City player has had an excellent start to life in south west London, appearing in all but two of his new team’s Premier League games this year.

Despite spending a lot of money over the past 12 months, the Blues have not lived up to expectations thus far. They are currently 11th in the Premier League after three wins and three losses.

Pochettino already has a number of well-known players in the locker rooms, including Mykhailo Mudryk, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, and Romeo Lavia.
