Talking to CaughtOffside, journalist Fabrizio Romano updated the future of the Chelsea midfielder.
In recent days, there has been a lot of information showing that AC Milan plans to recruit Benoit Badiashile in the January transfer window. However, according to a revelation from Fabrizio Romano, this deal is very unlikely to happen because Badiashile is still in Chelsea’s plans.
The Italian journalist said:
“From the Italian media, we have had some rumors regarding Benoit Badiashile and AC Milan, about a potential transfer in January. As far as I know, the only midfielder expected to leave Chelsea is still Trevoh Chalobah. Last year, Chelsea invested a large sum of money in Badiashile, so letting him leave for a cheap price was something they absolutely did not consider.”
“It is true that Milan appreciate this player but at the moment the idea for Chelsea is clear: the only player to leave in January is Trevoh Chalobah. Chelsea is looking for a new midfielder, but Badiashile is still completely in their plans. For Milan, they will have to spend 35-45 million euros, and that is something they cannot and will not do in January.”
