After defeating the Sacramento Kings on Friday night at Golden 1 Center, things are looking up for the Golden State Warriors.

Draymond Green’s comeback will empower the Golden State Warriors as they prepare for their first back-to-back of the season.
The former Defensive Player of the Year told Anthony Slater of The Athletic that he will “for sure” play against the Rockets, though he is unsure about his playing time or starting position.
With veteran point guard Chris Paul, 38, having started the Warriors’ first two games, the subject of Green’s starting spot will arise once again. It is likely that either Paul or Kevon Looney will return to the bench after Green is inserted into the starting lineup.
Many members of Green’s bench unit have impressed and pushed for more minutes in the rotation rather than less, so their reinstatement will cause head coach Steve Kerr some headaches.
In Green’s absence, many players have stepped up, including third-years Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody. Against the Kings, they played over 47 minutes together and finished with 22 points, eight boards, and three steals.
After being benched in favor of Kuminga in the first two games, 2022 All-Star Andrew Wiggins may continue to feel the heat. The Canadian played just under 27 minutes and finished with 11 points, five boards, and three assists on 5-13 shooting in the victory over the Kings.
The Warriors’ game against the Rockets will be the first of a back-to-back; on Monday, they’ll travel to Smoothie King Center to take on the Pelicans.
