Draymond Green Observes One Significant Difference

On Sunday night, the Houston Rockets dropped their most recent game.

The Rockets were defeated by the Golden State Warriors, 106-95, leaving Houston with a 0-3 record.

The Rockets had several admirable qualities, despite their loss.

Draymond Green of the Warriors discussed a significant change with the Rockets this season after the game.

Green claimed that the Warriors “would have won this game before by 20 or 30 points because [the Rockets] would have quit,” according to Kelly Iko.

“But they’re under Ime [Udoka] now, that’s a different thing,” he continued.

Ime Udoka joined the team during an offseason that saw significant transformation.

In addition to hiring a new head coach, the Rockets also added players in the form of Dillon Brooks and Fred VanVleet.

The Rockets have their finest opportunity in years thanks to those talents and their developing young colleagues.

Still, things haven’t gotten off to a good start.

On opening night, they were dealt a humiliating loss as they lost 116-86 to the Orlando Magic.

After that, on Sunday, they were defeated 126-122 by the San Antonio Spurs and by the Warriors.

Green, however, is correct when he says that the team is more determined and focused than before.

Udoka is making an effort to emulate the approach he had when he was a member of the Boston Celtics.

He’s trying to channel the team’s youthful exuberance into grit and endurance.

The Celtics saw great results from it, which carried them all the way to the NBA Finals.

Though few anticipate that from the Rockets this season, they could make the playoffs in the next few years if Udoka and his team continue to build on a solid foundation.

Although the Rockets may not have many victories this season, such significant adjustments require time.
