Erling Haaland generously donates six-figure gift packages to children in Norway

The football player Erling Haaland of Manchester City recently gave 1,000 children in Norway football gifts.

The 23-year-old is presently trying to assist his country qualify for this summer’s UEFA European Championship in Germany. On Thursday, Norway defeated Cyprus 4-0, with him scoring twice.

Haaland, who has six goals in five games, tied for the lead in scoring during the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with two goals in six minutes in the second half.

The forward, who is a 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or nominee, has eight goals in 11 Manchester City outings thus far this season. Nevertheless, the Norway international has conceded a goal in three straight games.

Before the international break, Pep Guardiola’s team lost two straight games in the Premier League, dropping to third place in the standings after losses to Wolves and Arsenal.

After losing unexpectedly to Wolves 2-1, Manchester City suffered their first league loss since 2015 against Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta’s team won late at the Emirates Stadium in north London.

Although Haaland, 23, started both games and helped the Sky Blues defeat RB Leipzig 3-1, he hasn’t scored for the team since September.

Next weekend, Manchester City will play again at the Etihad Stadium against Brighton, a team that Haaland scored twice against last season when the Blues captured the Premier League title for a record three years running.

In addition to his efforts on the field, Haaland, 23, has been busy off the field as well. According to The Sun, the Manchester City and Norway player has given more than 1,000 local kids gift baskets.

Haaland reportedly sent 175 crates, valued at over £110,000, to the Time Municipality, where the contents included a football bag, t-shirt, shorts, and a “Aquafigure” drinking bottle for the local kids.

The gifts were transported to Haaland’s hometown last month and were greeted by 1,000 football players under the age of twelve.

The unique parcels, which are estimated to be worth £111 apiece, were not delivered by the 23-year-old in person.

On Sunday night, Haaland will be playing when Norway takes on Spain in a crucial Euro 2024 qualification match in Oslo.
