Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has addressed the recent transfer rumors linking Manchester United’s defender Harry Maguire to Italian giants AC Milan.
In recent times, Maguire’s status at Old Trafford has become uncertain. However, Romano, in his exclusive Daily Briefing column, suggests that the links with Milan may be somewhat premature. He reveals that there are no concrete developments at the moment and that the Rossoneri’s current focus lies in bolstering other positions instead of the defense.
While Maguire could potentially be a valuable addition for Milan or other top clubs, Romano anticipates that we will have a clearer picture of his future closer to January, as there are currently no active negotiations.
“We know Harry Maguire has been facing an uncertain future for some time, and West Ham was an option for him in the summer,” Romano stated. “AC Milan has now been linked with an interest, but I’m not aware of contacts between Milan and Maguire so far.”
“Milan is working on different positions as a priority at the moment, and nothing concrete is happening yet with Maguire or any other club. We’ll have to see closer to January.”
Manchester United fans are undoubtedly eager for a resolution regarding Maguire’s future. Despite his promising arrival from Leicester City in 2019, the 30-year-old has faced challenges in maintaining his performance at Old Trafford, making his situation a subject of uncertainty.
