In preparation for the upcoming Serie A season, Roma forward Tammy Abraham and Milan defender Fikayo Tomori are relaxing and rejuvenating on vacation in Los Angeles.

After spending time together in Chelsea’s youth program, the two England internationals became fast friends, despite playing each other on the field.

Currently on vacation in the United States, they shared some photos from Los Angeles, where they are preparing for a new Serie A campaign.

Last season, both Englishmen had fantastic seasons: Tomori won Serie A with Milan and Abraham became Roma’s all-time leading scorer in his rookie season, while Abraham also won the Conference League.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino’s ‘need to blame’ remarks show true colours

By publicly endorsing Reece James and stating that no player should be held entirely responsible for the team’s dismal performance, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed his real colors. Despite the captain’s struggles this season, the head coach of the Blues retains complete faith in him.

After Cesar Azpilicueta left Chelsea in the summer, James became captain. He had a terrible start to the season, though, hurting his hamstring in the first game against Liverpool.

After a two-month absence, he made a triumphant return and has since been a fixture in and out of Chelsea’s lineup. Even though he was sent off in November’s discouraging 4-1 loss to Newcastle, his workload has been controlled.James was scolded for his actions in last Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United and at St. James’ Park. He came on at Old Trafford just before halftime, but he was ineffective as Manchester United won 2-1.

Nevertheless, Pochettino has defended his captain, saying that the entire team, and not just individuals, must shoulder the blame. “I believe Reece’s current focus should be on enhancing his self-assurance and physical condition in order to strive for the completion of 90 minutes,” the Argentine stated.

Although we are in a competitive environment and aim to win, Reece would benefit more from playing time. In that case, he probably won’t be able to stay fit.

We need to blame everyone, not just him, in my opinion, when it comes to the two games [Newcastle and United]. Something about the collective failed if you didn’t come out on top.

James was named to the starting lineup for Sunday’s match against Everton, however he was sidelined once again due to a hamstring ιnjury. After making just 14 appearances in the Premier League previous season, this was only his fifth start of the season. The 24-year-old’s greatest challenge has been maintaining his fitness level, which caused him to sit out last year’s World Cup in Qatar. James’ effect since taking on the additional duty has delighted Pochettino.

Still, he is cognizant of the fact that sitting on the sidelines was challenging for him. In his role as captain, he is excelling, he said. Assisting the club, he says, “He’s lending a hand to his compatriots. For every choice he has a hand in making, he contributes. An optimist at heart, he never lets his energy fade.

Keep in mind that any captain struggles to contribute to the team’s success when he isn’t on the field, but he’s doing an excellent job otherwise. He brings me so much joy.
