Bayern Munich is once again after Trevoh Chalobah, a defender for Chelsea.
The 24-year-old is nursing a hamstring ailment but should be back to full strength by month’s end.
Given that Chalobah is a homegrown player and would be considered a pure profit, Chelsea are prepared to sell in order to acquire finances for a left back and striker.
Nonetheless, Bayern would rather have a first loan.
Since his summer return to Stamford Bridge, Chalobah has made 63 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions. He had loan spells at Lorient in Ligue 1, Ipswich Town and Huddersfield in the Championship.
Chelsea is also holding out hope that Borussia Dortmund would boost their offer for Ian Maatsen so that he can join Jadon Sancho, who plays for Manchester United, at the Bundesliga club.
On Wednesday, negotiations continued over a six-month loan for the 23-year-old, with Dortmund CEO Sebastian Kehl offering approximately £3 million.
Since his public split with Erik ten Hag in October, Sancho has been training alone, banished from the first team.
From 2017 until 2021, he played for Dortmund, where he won the German Cup and Suρer Cup and was a fan favorite because to his 50 goals in 137 games.
His impact has diminished since moving to Old Trafford for £73 million in 2021, and his performance in training was a factor in Ten Hag’s decision to bench him earlier this season.
In the meantime, Maatsen turned down a permanent transfer to Burnley during the summer, despite the fact that he had a hand in the Clarets’ elevation to the Premier League last year. For Burnley in the Championship, the Dutchman appeared in 39 games.
Alex Matos, meanwhile, has been officially loaned out by Chelsea to Huddersfield Town.
On Saturday, the Blues will play home to Preston in the third round of the FA Cup. On Tuesday, they will travel to Middlesbrough for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.
