Malang Sarr is being targeted by Sevilla.

Sevilla have been irrelevant this season, and if they can’t start winning games, their campaign will take a nosedive. Their newest manager, Quique Sanchez Flores, has presided over two wins and a loss since joining the team.

They must be able to spend heavily on new players despite their current financial woes and the numerous injuries plaguing their backline. Sevilla will put their efforts into loaning players who can help stabilize their season, which has been absolutely awful so far.

A possible defensive upgrade for Sevilla has been suggested by Chelsea exile Malang Sarr, according to the club’s directors. The 24-year-old defender is not included in the squads for matches because Mauricio Pochettino does not consider him a starter.

In an effort to get the 24-year-old defender on loan, Sevilla will approach Chelsea in the hopes that the Blues will approve the transfer. It is unclear if that is also the player’s preference.

The Blues are eager to sellTo balance their books for FFP, Chelsea is ready to earn revenue and will consider undesired players as a means to do so. Sarr is a very marketable player, but he is still not playing for Pochettino’s first squad.

The Blues would like to sell Sarr, but they could approve a loan with Sevilla’s guarantees. To illustrate, in June, they may propose a required purchase clause, which Sevilla may reject and replace with an option to buy condition.

In preparation for the January transfer window, Sarr’s representatives have been in contact with Turkish clubs to find a solution for their client. Sevilla are prepared to put up a fight and may entice the 24-year-old defender by giving him the opportunity to remain in a top-five European league for the time being.
