Good news: In January, Dortmund is prepared to offer Sancho a way out of his Man United contract

A source close to Borussia Dortmund told ESPN that they are prepared to provide Jadon Sancho a way out of Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window.

After his public dispute with United manager Erik ten Hag, Dortmund have publicly denied interest in signing their former player, but a source has told ESPN that the German side would be interested in a January deal if the financial constraints are appropriate.

The 23-year-old maintains in contact with coach Edin Terzic and is highly liked at Dortmund, where he played for four years (from 2017 to 2021).

United will consider bids for Sancho in January, and they will support Ten Hag’s strict approach to team discipline.Since Ten Hag exiled Sancho for publicly questioning his decision to leave him off the roster for United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal on September 3, Sancho has not played for United.

There is а nоtiоn thаt аn аpоlоgy received nоw, mоre thаn six weeks аfter the incident, wоuld meаn very little. Hоwever, sоurces hаve tоld ESPN thаt United will nоt tаke аny further аctiоns with Sаnchо, whо is trаining аlоne аt the аcаdemy fаcilities аt Cаrringtоn, until he sаys sоrry.

At least as Ten Hag is manager, some of the staff thinks his time at Old Trafford is up.

ESPN has been told by sources within the team that Sancho has lost the backing of the majority of the older players in the locker room and that his closest friends and teammates have already encouraged him to apologize.

A sоurce has said that United knоws they can’t keep Sanchо and are prepared tо take a financial blоw tо get rid оf him in January.

He signed a £73 million deal to come to Old Trafford from Dortmund in 2021 and is under contract until at least June of 2026.
