Gravenberch beamed in his Liverpool debut, with an unfamiliar shirt number

After all, Ryan Gravenberch became the rookie of The Kop this summer.

On the last day of the summer market this year, Ryan Gravenberch joined Liverpool for 40 million euros in fixed fees plus 5 million euros in surcharges, five-year contract.

Liverpool accelerated the deal in the last days and succeeded. With Gravenberch, The Kop midfield will become even more formidable.

With Liverpool, they are changing the midfield. This summer, The Kop parted ways with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. Liverpool’s goals are constantly being lifted by Chelsea like Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Notably, Gravenberch is ready to join Liverpool in the context of Man Utd’s slow action in this summer’s transfer window.

At Anfield, the Dutch midfielder suddenly chose the number 38 shirt. This is an extremely strange and not very prominent shirt number in The Kop’s history.

Gravenberch said: “I’m very happy. So glad the deal is done and I’m finally here. For me, I just need to relax. I talked a lot with my agent and he. He told me, ‘Everything will be okay’. For me, I have to relax and wait for this moment.”

He added: “Honestly, for me it was quite difficult but in the end I am very happy to be here.”

With Gravenberch, The Kop possesses a very skilled midfield.

He promises to join Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to form an atomic trio in the midfield.

He has immersed himself in training and can play when Liverpool faces Aston Villa tomorrow (September 3).
