Many people think that if the 2023 Golden Ball belongs to Lionel Messi, it would be unfair to Erling Haaland. However, Eden Hazard and Olivier Giroud have strong arguments defending Messi.

Many sources on the sidelines confirm that Messi will win the 8th Ballon d’Or in his career. With the 2022 World Cup championship, Messi, despite not having impressive club-level achievements, is still rated higher than Haaland – the player who won the “treble” with Man City last season.
