On Saturday afternoon, Manchester United will host Crystal Palace for their second match of the week at Old Trafford.
Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro, and Anthony Martial scored goals to help United defeat Palace 3-0 on Tuesday night to start their Carabao Cup defense. The matchup will retake place in the Premier League.
Earlier in the week, Roy Hodgson’s team put on a lifeless display, and following the victory, Erik ten Hag stated he anticipates facing a “completely different” opponent the next time the two clubs play in the league.
Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay are expected to rejoin the club, which is good news for Ten Hag. However, on Friday, it was revealed that Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon were also injured.

The defense of United selects itself without Reguilon or Martinez. At left back, Amrabat must start, and Lindelof narrowly defeats Harry Maguire, who was given the go-ahead in midweek.
Bruno Fernandes should return to the right side, and Mason Mount and Casemiro must start in the midfield. With Alejandro Garnacho’s goal in midweek, there would be a close vote on who should start on the left. Since Garnacho has mostly contributed from the bench in the Premier League, Marcus Rashford should continue for the time being.

Another week at United, and injuries are starting to become a big worry. The team has three fit left-backs, but only five defenders are available for the position of goalkeeper. Onana is the clear choice in that position.
That most likely indicates that Dalot starts at right back and Amrabat is called upon once more. Evans and Maguire can be the backup center backs if Lindelof and Varane start at center back.
Because Amrabat is on defense, midfield flexibility is reduced. Despite playing ninety minutes over the week, Casemiro is once again a clear starter. In midfield, Eriksen and Mount would also be my choices.
This implies that Rashford will play on the left, Hojlund will play through the middle, and Fernandes will move to the right.

It appears like United is currently dealing with one player recovering from an injury while another is having trouble. With Amrabat signed, the team would have a left-back available for selection at no cost, and they would be in serious trouble otherwise.
Since there are only five healthy natural defenders and Lindelof has been playing a lot of football lately, I would start Maguire and Varane, who both performed well in the Carabao Cup, on the bench.
Hannibal should continue in his role, but Casemiro and Mount, who both performed admirably during the midweek, should start again. A few weeks younger than Hojlund, the 20-year-old presses with intensity and appears to click well with him.
