I have had contact – The head coach of Sweden provides an ιnjury report on Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof

Janne Andersson, coach of Sweden, recently gave an interview about Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.

In the 71st minute of the 2-1 Premier League win over Brentford, Lindelof was substituted off. The Sweden captain reportedly left the field immediately after suffering an ιnjury.

The 29-year-old has made the trip to join his national squad for duty, but his participation in the matches is still up in the air.’

Andersson discussed United’s troubled defender with the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. The man spoke thusly:

Lindelof and I have been in touch. I’d like to think there won’t be any serious issues, but I can’t sаy that with confidence. I haven’t heard the verdict from the medical staff yet, but that will change tonight.

On Thursday, Sweden will kιck off their international break with a friendly against Moldova. Sweden’s next Euro 2024 qualifying opponent is Belgium. Given his leadership position in the Swedish team and his regular playing time, it was assumed he would start both matches.

Andersson and United’s manager Erik ten Hag will be among those anticipating the results of Lindelof’s final evaluation. The Red Devils’ defense is in disarray, and it’s causing problems all over the field.

Several players for United are now sidelined due to ιnjury: Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Sergio Reguilon.

So, Get It: Gonçalo Inacio has joined the list of central defenders that Manchester United is currently scouting.

Still on the list are Antonio Silva, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Tapsoba. No final decision has been made yet; weighing factors such as player ability, reports, cost, and more. pic.twitter.com/8JA3Zjkjvf

In the words of Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) 10 October 2023

United, according to Fabrizio Romano, are actively scouting a large number of defenders in the hopes of signing several during the 2024 summer and winter transfer windows.

After eight games in the Premier League, the Red Devils are presently tenth in the standings. However, they are currently deаd last in Champions League Group A after losing both of their games.

Ten Hag must shore up the defense to change the club’s future course. The Red Devils are crossing their fingers that their injured starters will be healthy enough to return when the current international break finishes.
