Didier Drogba, a legend in the Premier League, has put his six-bedroom, 11,000-square-foot estate in Surrey up for sale. The asking price for the home is £6.25 million, and prospective buyers can purchαse it.
Drogba made a total of 381 games for Chelsea over the course of two separate stints at the club. During that time, he amassed 164 goals and is widely considered to be one of the best players in the club’s history. Together with the Champions League, he also won four FA Cups and three League Cups, and he was victorious in the Premier League on four separate occasions.
Nonetheless, in spite of the fαct that his second tenure at Stamford Bridge was terminated in 2015, the Ivorian has maintained ownership of a house on the prestigious Crown Estate in Oxshott. This house is situated in close proximity to Chelsea’s Cobham training complex. But, the 44-year-old is currently in the process of selling the home, which features a total of six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, five reception rooms, a large swimming pool, and a leisure complex.
The leisure facility includes not just a sauna but also a jacuzzi in addition to the swimming pool, which has bi-folding doors that provide for a view of the expansive garden.
The following is an excerpt from the listing that can be seen on Fine & Country: “On the ground floor, five principal reception rooms are centered around a great reception hall with sweeping staircase leading to all floors.”
The front of the house features a study and a multipurpose reception room. The back of the house features a sensational dual aspect drawing room of huge proportions, a family room, and a large open plan kitchen, which is equipped with contemporary built-in appliances and a central island for casual dining, and it leads through to a delightful high roofed orangery. The property is surrounded by automatic gates and extends across a little less than an acre of land. A spacious driveway provides adequate parking, and there is also a multi-vehicle garage that is two stories tall and gives additional living space with an apartment that has one bedroom and one bathroom.
“To the rear is a south facing planted garden with manicured lawns running out from a terrace area off the main home – a fantastic site for leisure and entertaining,” says the listing for the property. The Crown Estate is widely regarded as one of the most exclusive and exclusive regions in southern England. It got its name from the fαct that it used to be hunting property that belonged to the Crown. It is located adjacent to some of the most prestigious schools in Surrey and is encompassed by open fields and wooded areas.
It is around the same distance from both Heathrow and Gatwick, and it is conveniently located in the middle of the M25 and the A3 on the way into downtown London.
Drogba’s Malian wife Lalla Diakite, from whom he was divorced in 2020, shared the home with him when they were married.
The former striker issued a brief statement at the time, in which he said, “We remain extremely close, and our primary emphasis has been on our children and preserving them as well as the family’s privacy.”
The couple has three children, the oldest of whom is named Isaac and is 21 years old. Isaac attended the academy at Chelsea and played for the reserve squad of Guingamp, which competes in the French second division.
Drogba moved to England permanently in 2004 after Chelsea paid Marseille £24 million to acquire his services. He is the Ivory Coast national team’s all-time leading scorer with 65 goals in 105 career appearances.
He remained with the Blues until 2012, during which time he contributed to the club’s success in the Premier League by helping them win consecutive championships in his first two seasons there. His final act for the club was to score the game-winning penalty in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
After spending time in China and Turkey, Didier Drogba came back to Chelsea for one more season in 2014 and played a vital role in the club’s league championship victory. His time spent in the United States marked the end of his playing career.
