Is Kepa Arrizabalaga done with Chelsea?

Real Madrid star sends strong message to parent club as La Liga loan continues

Kepa Arrizabalaga has made an admission regarding his future at Stamford Bridge while on loan at Real Madrid.

WHAT HAPPENED? The 29-year-old has acknowledged that once his loan agreement with Real Madrid expires, he would want to stay longer with Los Blancos rather than going back to Chelsea.

WHAT THEY SAID: “Yes, I’m quite content here, Kepa admitted in an interview with Juanfe Sanz of El Chiringuito TV. Who wants to remain at Real Madrid?

THE BIGGER PICTURE: After Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered an ACL injury that will keep him out for the majority of the 2023–24 season, Kepa signed a late deal with Madrid during the summer.

The Chelsea goalkeeper could be bought in the summer for as little as £21 million ($26 million), claims SPORT. However, if Carlo Ancelotti’s team were to sign Kepa to a long-term contract, they would prefer to keep the cost under £15 million ($18 million).

WHAT NEXT FOR KEPA? His future at Chelsea appears to be all but over now that Robert Sanchez has been brought in to replace him at Chelsea, while Aaron Ramsdale of Arsenal has also been linked with a move.

Due to the fact that his current contract with the Blues is slated to expire in 2024, Chelsea will probably try to recover their investment of £69 million ($85 million) next summer, even if it is not to the Bernabeu Stadium.
