Before accepting the Ballon d’Or, Lionel Messi revealed behind-the-scenes images with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo, and his three sons.

The World Cup-winning Argentine captain tweeted some behind-the-scenes photos on Monday, just before receiving his record-breaking ninth Ballon d’Or in Paris.

 

The photos documented the superstar’s family moments with his wife Antonela and three sons, Thiago, Matteo, and Ciro.

After steering Argentina to their third World Cup championship in Qatar last year, the 36-year-old collected his eighth Golden Ball on Monday. He was also instrumental in Paris Saint-Germain winning the Ligue 1 title in 2022/23.

 

With Inter Miami’s MLS season coming to a close after failing to make the playoffs, the Herons and Messi were set to tour China during the summer. However, the club said on Wednesday that the tour had been cancelled owing to “unforeseen circumstances in China.”
