Paris Saint-Germain is launching a new initiative to recruit the best French athletes, particularly those based in the capital itself. This summer, the capital club signed players like Lucas Hernandez, Ousmane Dembélé, and Randal Kolo Muani.
Because of the new transfer rules, certain Parisians must decide if they want to play for their former team again. Ibrahima Konaté, a Frenchman currently playing for Liverpool, is the latest player to be questioned if he is considering returning home.
Despite his fondness for his city, it appears that Konaté has set his sights on a permanent move to Liverpool.
“Yes, I am a native Parisian… but I’m in Liverpool now,” Konaté said. This Premier League club has a deal with the 24-year-old player through 2026. But perhaps the French club will make a move in the near future.
PSG hasn’t been bashful in making moves to strengthen their team through free agency. It would be intriguing to watch if Konaté eventually returns to his home country or if he stays overseas for the duration of his professional career.
Liverpool told potential Mo Salah replacement is already at ‘his level’ in lower standard
In spite of rumors linking him to the Reds, former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson says that West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen is already performing at a high level. The Reds’ star Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, and Bowen has been mentioned as a potential successor in the coming years. The aspirations of Liverpool to sign Bowen as a winger were dashed last week when he signed a new seven-year contract. His outstanding play this season was rewarded with a spot in the England squad this month.
It has been said that Liverpool is interested in signing the 26-year-old. There are obvious parallels to Mohamed Salah, another left-footed right winger who is deadly in front of goal.
But Johnson claims Bowen has already fulfilled his full potential with the Hammers and that he is not even close to being on the same level as Salah. The former defensive back claims he has reached his maximum potential.I’m not sure if he has what it takes to get to the next level. Johnson told Betfred, “He’s obviously been scoring goals and playing well for West Ham, but to suggest that he can replace Mo Salah at Liverpool is in a totally different league.”
I think West Ham United is a good fit for him right now. If Mo Salah were to depart Liverpool next summer, I don’t think Jarrod would be a suitable successor. Liverpool, in my opinion, has to be searching at the top, top players to replace Salah.
This season, Bowen has played eight times in the Premier League and has scored five times. After being left off of the 2022 World Cup team last summer, he said his performance suffered, but he has since used the disappointment as motivation to return to his peak form.
After an absence of 18 months, Gareth Southgate has decided to summon him back into the England team.I was disappointed to miss out, but that’s what happened,” the Hammers star stated this week. All I could do was keep playing football at a level I know I can play at, and the rest will work itself out.
“Obviously, I’m playing the best football of my career so far, given how the season has begun. Those are European travel experiences I’ve had. Compared to my previous visit, some changes have been made.
Being а fаther hаs put me in а new mentаl spаce, where I hаve а greаter sense оf respоnsibility аnd а mоre levelheаded оutlооk оn life. I’m pretty hаppy with where my life is right nоw, аnd I’m thаnkful fоr the оppоrtunity tо be bаck where I stаrted.
