Liverpool Club sent UEFA a list of 23 players who will participate in the 2023/24 Europa League and there are some very interesting options.

Liverpool will compete in the Europa League for the first time since Jurgen Klopp’s debut season after they disappointed by only finishing 5th in the Premier League last season.

Before the Europa League group stage matches start mid-next week, Liverpool has announced the list of squads qualified to participate in the first phase of the tournament. 

Although UEFA regulations allow teams to send a maximum of 25 players, Liverpool only named 23 players. And what makes fans feel interesting is that coach Jurgen Klopp has prioritized talent over experience in his squad, after eliminating a top player who has been at Anfield since 2019.

Goalkeeper number 3, Adrian, is the unlucky star who missed out on a spot in Liverpool’s Europa League squad. Although it is still possible to add two spots, the Spaniard still has to watch his parent team’s European campaign from… the stands.

Youngsters Bobby Clark and Ben Doak were both included in the squad after impressing Klopp in recent months. Clark is 18 years old and has made several appearances throughout pre-season, while Doak has featured in the first team since the end of last year. 

The rest of Liverpool’s “List A” includes typical first-team players who have played for the Red Devils in European competition before. Players such as Harvey Elliott, Stefan Bajcetic, Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley and Marcelo Pitaluga are included in “List B” but can still play for “List A” as young players being trained at the team. .
