Liverpool is attempting to get Andre Trindade, a successful midfielder for Fluminense, via a move. The Reds waited until January to secure Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo, two players they had targeted for the long term.
Andre is presently helping the Brazilian club Fluminense win the Copa Libertadores. On November 4th, the Brazilian team will play against Boca Juniors, a club from Argentina, in the championship game.
One of the team’s emerging stars
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has gained tremendously in experience and reputation and is an integral element of Fluminense’s success. This season, the Brazilian international has played in 48 games for Fluminense and scored one. However, as a midfield general, the majority of his contributions come from deeper positions.

Modern defensive midfielder Andre plays the No. 6 position as a double pivot but can also play in a single pivot formation. The Brazilian, who is 6 feet tall, makes good use of his stature on the field. Because of his mobility and low center of gravity, he can quickly change directions while keeping control of the ball, even in confined areas.

Andre’s strong passing % reflects his commitment to maintaining possession and creating opportunities for his teammates. The Brazilian isn’t a major source of inspiration, but he’s crucial to maintaining a fast pace that works for his team. Andre executes his job successfully by rapidly passing the ball to his inventive teammates. Although diminutive in size, Brazilians often surprise with their strength in one-on-one situations.
To quote Fluminense’s president Bittencourt: “André came to me directly from Liverpool. Friend, I don’t sell André right now, I told their director. We may begin negotiations immediately if you want to acquire him and bring him in January. #LFC

Apparently, the Reds are planning to make a move before the January transfer window begins, according to TEAMtalk (via Liverpool Echo), which could be a huge coup for Liverpool. The Reds employed this strategy to secure the services of Gakpo and Van Dijk before their competition. The report claims that they heard this from a “well-placed source.”
They really like Andre at Liverpool. Andre could be just what they’ve been looking for to hold down the fort in the middle of the field after all the changes they’ve made this offseason.
