Man City player took a celebratory action that received great love from The Blues fans

Man City’s rookie Mateo Kovacic has been denounced for celebrating Palmer’s late equalizer for Chelsea against the home team. Everyone knows that the Manchester City midfielder spent five years at Stamford Bridge before leaving to join the European champions.

Round 12 of the Premier League took place in the dramatic Super Sunday match between Chelsea and Man City. 8 goals were scored with countless highlights, in which fans noticed the moment star Mateo Kovacic celebrated when his former team scored an equalizer in the last minute.

According to some Man City supporters on X, Kovacic can be seen making a fist gesture after Cole Palmer’s late equalizer from the penalty spot. A somewhat discreet action by the Croatian star but could not escape the attention of fans. This somewhat made Man City fans feel angry when he was playing for the half-blue Manchester team. The Croatian midfielder spent five years with Chelsea, appearing more than 200 times for the club, before joining Man City in June.

The highlight of Kovacic’s time at Stamford Bridge was winning the Champions League when Chelsea defeated Man City with the minimum score to take the throne.

Obviously, moving to Man City this summer may make Kovacic still “miss” his old team. However, that will only be a temporary feeling, Kovacic will certainly try his best to join Pep Guardiola’s team in conquering more noble titles in the 2023/24 season.
