JOE COLE slammed Manchester City’s players for wearing “unacceptable” similar attire before arriving for their Champions League match against the Young Boys.
TNT cameras filmed Pep Guardiola and the Manchester City team coming off the bus before Wednesday’s game in Switzerland.
Jack Grealish was the first Manchester City player off the bus in the outfit
The cardigans were personalized for each player
Kyle Walker was another Man City man seen in the questionable outfit
Phil Foden also wore the white shirt and cardigan combination
Pep Guardiola did not wear the matching outfit his players were showing off
Guardiola was dressed in one of his more casual looks, a turtleneck and blazer.
But for the occasion, all of the players elected to wear matching shirts and cardigans, as well as light blue pants.
Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker, Sergio Gomez, Julian Alvarez, Josko Gvardiol, Phil Foden, and Erling Haaland were all photographed exiting the bus wearing open-collar white shirts and personalized cardigans.
The cardigans featured a Man City armband with the names and numbers of the players on the reverse.
When it was brought up in the studio, ex-Chelsea and England player Cole was eager to blast on their outfit.
“This is unacceptable,” he remarked. The gaffer was the first to emerge, and he resembles the Milk Tray man. He appears to be brilliant.
“He looks around, and I don’t care how many Trebles you win; you’ve got to sort out the gear.” It’s terrible. I can’t say anything else.”
Joleon Lescott, a former Manchester City defender, added, “Questionable.” I’m like, yes, when it doesn’t look well on Jack Grealish…”
Fans on social media questioned the Manchester City players’ attire as well.
Erling Haaland was another to oblige with the cardigans
“Look at the state of them,” one said.
“I honestly don’t know whose idea this was,” said another.
In response, a third person said: “Whoever’s an idea this was is deffo out of a job in the morning 😂 what’s wrong with a tracksuit?!”
