Manchester United winger Antony ‘flies back to England to face police over allegations that he attacked a lover’ – with Brazilian pictured leaving Brazil via Sao Paulo airport

According to rumors, Manchester United player Antony is returning to England to face charges of domestic abuse.

The Premier League team gave the Brazilian winger a leave of absence earlier this month after his ex-girlfriend Gabriella Cavallin claimed he had attacked her on January 15 in a Manchester hotel.

Tuesday night, as Antony was getting ready to take a flight for Spain and subsequently Manchester, The Sun published photos of him at the Sao Paulo airport.

Antony will meet police in the coming days to deny the allegations, according to the outlet.

A source told the newspaper: ‘Antony is adamant he has done nothing wrong and wants to sit down with officers and let them ask him questions.

He will turn over anything they ask to see, including his cell phone, because he has nothing to hide.

He wants to be cleared as soon as possible so he can resume playing football without any hindrances.

Three women are making accusations against Antony, who received full salary while on vacation and was not suspended by Manchester United.

While his ex-girlfriend Cavallin has accused him of assaulting her on four separate occasions, two more Brazilian women, banker Ingrid Lana and law student Rayssa de Freitas, have come forward to make comparable accusations.
