Chelsea standout, Marc Cucurella, is on the verge of becoming a father for the third time with his fashion designer girlfriend, Claudia Rodriguez.

 

The 24-year-old defender, who recently made a significant £62 million transfer to Chelsea, is preparing for a bustling life with the upcoming addition to his family.

 

Cucurella enthusiastically shared the news of his girlfriend’s pregnancy, although they have chosen to keep the baby’s gender a surprise. Claudia Rodriguez, who boasts 35,000 followers on Instagram, has been a steadfast supporter of her partner’s football career and has joined his family on the pitch following his final match for Brighton. The couple has also been spotted at Stamford Bridge during the current season.

Both parents proudly posted a heartwarming image of themselves holding a sonogram, with Cucurella captioning it as “baby number 3 on the way.”

 

Meanwhile, Rodriguez hinted that she knows the baby’s gender but has decided to keep it under wraps. Several fellow footballers, including Rafa Mir, Joan Jordan, and Jurgen Locadia, congratulated the couple on their Instagram post.

The new addition to their family will join older siblings Mateo and Rio. Cucurella and Rodriguez’s love story began in 2018 when he was part of Barcelona’s youth team. Their relationship blossomed quickly, and she followed him to Madrid when he played for Getafe and later to Brighton, before his move to Chelsea.

 

Cucurella’s family has been a constant source of support, often seen cheering him on from the stands. After the final game of the season at the Amex Stadium, Rodriguez and their two children joined him on the pitch. In the photos, Mateo and Rio sported Seagulls shirts with ‘papá’ (meaning ‘Daddy’) on the back.
