Mbappe scores hat-trick for France: Reaches 300 goals, wants to catch up with Ronaldo – Messi

Kylian Mbappe is considered one of the players capable of replacing Ronaldo and Messi in the future and the French striker is proving it. Not only is Mbappe in good form at PSG, he is also playing extremely well for the French national team.

The striker born in 1998 just scored a hat-trick of goals and a hat-trick of assists in just one match when the “Gaulois Rooster” crushed Gibraltar with a score of 14-0. Mbappe played extremely prominently even though he did not hold the ball much. Number 10 of the French national team scored the first goal in the 30th minute with a successful penalty kick.

Mbappe then scored 3 consecutive assists to help Clauss and Coman (twice) score. In the 73rd minute, the French striker scored a double with a good close-range finish. Mbappe completed his hat-trick with a more impressive shot when he scored from the middle of the field but still managed to defeat the opponent’s goalkeeper. Not only that, this is the 300th goal in Mbappe’s professional career.

This is the 17th hat-trick of the French striker. If this season alone, the former Monaco player has 21 goals in 19 matches.

In France alone, Mbappe has 46 goals. Although the person leading the list of most scored goals for the “Gaulois Rooster”, Giroud, has just increased his achievement to 56 goals, but the gap of 10 goals is too slim when Mbappe is only 24 years old and Giroud has turned 10 years old. 37.

“300 goals is actually just part of the process. Everyone knows there are some players who have reached 800 or even 850 goals. I also want to do the same thing. Of course, I am very happy to reach this historic milestone. However, I still need to improve more both on the national team and the club,” Mbappe told TF1 channel after the match.

Although he did not mention names, it was clear that Mbappe wanted to refer to his idol Cristiano Ronaldo and former teammate Lionel Messi. These are the only two players in history to surpass the world-recognized milestone of 800 goals. Ronaldo has 865 goals while Messi has 821 goals.
