Mbappe won’t receive PSG’s 80 million euro loyalty fee

After many rumors, it was finally confirmed that there was a financial agreement between PSG and Mbappe regarding the French super striker’s loyalty bonus at Parc des Princes. Accordingly, the 24-year-old superstar signed an agreement to refuse to receive a bonus of 80 million euros.

This move proves once again that Mbappe does not prioritize money and thanks to that, PSG will not “lose everything” when he leaves in the summer of 2024. “It’s clear that Kylian Mbappe doesn’t prioritize money. He is taking his future into his own hands and keeping the ball at his feet. Soon, we will know for sure the next stop of the French captain,” commented RMC Sport.

Previously, in the summer of 2023, Mbappe refused to activate the extension option until June 2025, and also refused any offer to extend the contract from PSG. Therefore, he was punished by being dropped from the Asian tour as well as PSG’s first match in Ligue 1.

However, thanks to a “special agreement” between the two sides, Mbappe and PSG, the French player was reintegrated into the first team on August 13, 2023. Since then, he has scored 15 goals for PSG in 15 matches across all competitions this season.

According to Le Parisien, Mbappe will likely appear at the press conference late this afternoon as part of the pre-match between France and Gibraltar. And this will be the first time since he was appointed captain of the blue team that Mbappe will appear at a press conference before a match of the French team.

According to common sense, if nothing forces Mbappe to speak up before each match, his silence always raises questions, even if he has a good reason not to attend the press conference.
