Scott McTominay scored twice in stoppage time to help Manchester United come back to win 2-1 against Brentford. Having grown up from the Man Utd academy, McTominay clearly understands the concept of never giving up until the match ends.
Talking about his shining performance in the reception of Brentford, the Scottish midfielder affirmed that it was David Beckham who inspired him. Specifically, the Red Devils star shared, citing Irishexaminer:
“I watched Beckham’s documentary and it inspires you. Sir Alex always looks at his watch, just never give up no matter what situation happens.”
Recently, a documentary about Beckham’s life is attracting public attention. There are scenes where the former English football player talks about Man Utd, Sir Alex Ferguson or his wife Victoria Beckham. Most notable is the episode where Beckham fell into depression after his red card at the 1998 World Cup.
Netflix’s new series titled “Beckham” will premiere next Wednesday.
